Due to a relapse in my health, I will not be writing this blog for a while. It takes lots of time and research, and I love it, but it just takes too much out of me.

Obama and Eugenics
Very simply, eugenics is the science of genetically engineering organisms (specifically human beings) to get the most superior being possible. I FIRMLY believe that Mr. Obama is a eugenist.
Obama formed the Federal Coordinating Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research for the purpose of deciding which health practices are the best and most cost effective. Their recommendation goes to the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (NCFHIT), who will in turn decide when, where, and how a patient is to be treated depending on the diagnosis given by the doctor.
Emanuel co-wrote an article in the Lancet medical journal in which he stated: "Allocation of very scarce medical interventions such as organs and vaccines is a persistent ethical challenge. We evaluate eight simple allocation principles that can be classified into four categories: treating people equally, favouring the worst-off, maximising total benefits, and promoting and rewarding social usefulness. No single principle is sufficient to incorporate all morally relevant considerations and therefore individual principles must be combined into multiprinciple allocation systems. We evaluate three systems: the United Network for Organ Sharing points systems, quality-adjusted life-years, and disability-adjusted life-years. We recommend an alternative system—the complete lives system—which prioritises younger people who have not yet lived a complete life, and also incorporates prognosis, save the most lives, lottery, and instrumental value principles." He goes on to say: "The complete lives system discriminates against older people. Age-based allocation is ageism. And you know what really gets me? Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel has a sister with cerebral palsy. You'd think there'd be a little better understanding.
I could go on and on, but the point is this: Do I really think that Obama is going to start sending people off to death camps? Of course not.
I do, however, believe that there would be no happier man on the planet than Obama if ever so slowly the weak, the infirm, the demented, the crippled, the disabled and the "less-desirable" were eliminated from the human race. And he'll be even happier when it's done at the hands of his minions instead of his own.
I believe that ALL life is precious. What if Obama's children were born with a fatal disease? Would he withhold treatment from them? Of course not. But would he withhold treatment if YOUR child were born with the same thing? Something to think about, for sure.

Obama and Population Control: Has It Already Begun?
Let’s talk about China for a minute. I can’t even get INTO how they are backing NORTH Korea, and, should they call in our debt, would own the United States. I’m talking about their one-child-per-family law.
For decades, China has imposed a ban on most families, stating they are only allowed to have one child. Notice it’s not one pregnancy, but one child. Since the desired child was male, many Chinese baby girls were left on the steps of orphanages. Chinese women may have several babies before having a boy, and may have given every single one up for the chance to have a son.
On October 21, 2010, “36 year old Xiao Aiying was 8 months pregnant when twelve government officials entered her house, brutally beating and kicking her in the stomach before dragging her kicking and screaming to a state hospital. Her crime? She had conceived a second child and failed to pay the mandatory $40,000 fine for breaking China’s notorious one-child policy.” (www.prisonplanet.com)
This poor woman was held down and given a lethal injection for her baby. She went to the hospital, bruised and beaten, with her dead baby still inside her.
You may be thinking, well, that’s China for goodness sake. They’re halfway around the world, and Communist! That would never happen in the United States.

President Obama was inaugurated on January 20, 2009. THREE days later, Obama reversed the Mexico City Policy. “The policy required non-governmental organizations to "agree as a condition of their receipt of [U.S.] federal funds" that they would "neither perform nor actively promote abortion as a method of family planning in other nations". The policy had exceptions for abortions done in response to rape, incest, or life-threatening conditions.” (www.en.wikipedia.org)
What a perfect example of Obama’s duality. He said, “"We are reminded that this decision not only protects women's health and reproductive freedom but stands for a broader principle: that government should not intrude on our most private family matters. I remain committed to protecting a woman's right to choose." www.abcnews.go.com Yet his actions prove otherwise! Or maybe he only supports government intruding with our tax dollars for foreign abortions.
Right.
Obama’s nearly trillion dollar “stimulus package” gave over 10 percent to Planned Parenthood. So is this Obama’s tithe? I just find the percentage interesting.
A program from the Clinton Presidency “allows states to seek a waiver to offer Medicaid [Medicaid is not Medicare. Medicaid is completely free.] “family planning” services — including people who are not poor enough to qualify for Medicaid. If they seek the waiver, the federal government matches the state funding with $9 for every $1…”
The economic stimulus plan effectively eliminated the need for the waiver.
“As a result, all 50 states will now offer Medicaid “family planning” services (including contraception) with the federal government offering the same $9 to $1 match. Although the money doesn’t fund abortions directly, it goes to Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business, which would otherwise have to spend its own money on contraception.” (www.lifenews.com)
How is that NOT government supported abortion??

One Child Per Family????
Okay, maybe some of you knew this already, but I just read it yesterday.
It appears that Ted Turner, who is suddenly immensely concerned with the environment, thinks most countries (including the U.S.) should adopt China's one child per family rule. His main concern is that we (human beings) won't be here in 5,000 years if we keep growing exponentially. (But what about the whole Darwinism-survival-of-the-fittest-theory, Ted?)
Ted Turner is best known for starting CNN, the first 24 hour news station. He is one of the wealthiest men alive. He's hadhis filthy mitts associations with Time Warner, AOL, MGM films and the Atlanta Braves just to name a few.
"By the late 1990s, Ted Turner was worth more than $2 billion; the largest private landowner in the U.S., he divided his days between luxurious homes in six states. A flamboyant and shrewd businessman, he was also a celebrity who worked and lived in the fast lane. In December 1991, Turner married Jane Fonda, movie star and liberal activist. Two previous marriages had produced five children, who sit with Turner and Fonda [don't even get me started on her] on the board of the charitable Turner Foundation." So he's a filthy rich guy with 6 posh, luxury homes in six different states, five children and huge corporations calling for Americans to implement a one-child-per-family law. But he does NOT support mandatory abortions or sterilizations for unplanned pregnancies. Well, gee, Ted, how gracious of you.
However, "Mr. Turner – a long-time advocate of population control – said the environmental stress on the Earth requires radical solutions, [like the one child rule].... Has there ever been a more hideous suggestion? And the sad thing is, because he has money, people will listen to him.

Protesting at Military Funerals
I'm not sure how or why soldiers and veterans have such a special place in my heart, because it's not like I grew up in a military family. From a very young age I was fascinated with Vietnam, and always thought how horrible it was that the men who served were treated so poorly when they got home.
NOW I have more of a reason...my niece married a soldier, who is currently overseas, and they have a darling little 3 month old baby. So now I have more of a face with the feelings, but I still have always felt really strongly about the military, and supporting and protecting it.
I have seen this before, but again on facebook today, a friend of mine pointed out how some people (who claim to be Christians, which REALLY gets my fire going) protesting at military funerals. I'm sorry, did you hear that? Protesting. Picketing. Yelling and screaming at mourning families that God is glad their child, brother, sister, husband, wife, nephew, is DEAD.
Are you kidding me??? Oh my GOSH that ticks me off. To those people I say, who the hell do you think you are? What have YOU ever done for your country? For your God? I am all for our rights, believe me. The government has way too much control over too much already. But this. This is too much. This should not only be illegal (which I seriously can't believe I have to even say that) it should also be punishable by law.
I do not care if you think war is atrocious. You're right. It is. I don't care if you think that there is collateral damage; you know what? There inevitably is, and that sucks. However, don't you DARE go to the funeral of a soldier who gave up everything for YOUR rights.
Some things should just be sacred. And this is one of them. Heaven help you if you're ever in MY area and I see you doing that. Shame on you.

Wikileaks Part Two
Ya know, I would LOVE to get Julian Assange in a room with about half a dozen American soldiers about whom secret information has been leaked. One would probably be enough...Heck, put ME in there. I can't breathe, I have zero stamina, but I can hit really hard once. I would LOVE a crack at this guy.
Julian Assange doesn't even earn the title bully. He's a coward. He's putrid, sickening and downright despicable. Let him get his 15 minutes, whatever, but let's NOT make him a martyr. He's not good enough for that.
I mean seriously. There's freedom of the press, and then there's espionage. It's a darn good thing for his sake that this guy isn't an American, because he'd be in a hole so deep and dark by now all would be forgotten in a month's time. But no. He had to get his filthy mitts into many, many different pots and keep all this stuff tied up internationally til the end of time.
But American will have her justice. I guarantee you that. Mr. Assange WILL pay the piper for all the dancin' he's been doing, and I'm not sure he'll be able to foot the bill.
The people who are defending this worm really tick me off. Again, it's the extremist nutjob claiming that freedom of the press is covered under the First Amendment. Well I've got two words for ya Julian: PATRIOT Act.
Title VIII [of the USA PATRIOT Act] alters the definitions of terrorism, and establishes or re-defines rules with which to deal with it. It redefined the term "domestic terrorism" to broadly include mass destruction as well as assassination or kidnapping as a terrorist activity. The definition also encompasses activities that are "dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State" and are intended to "intimidate or coerce a civilian population," "influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion," or are undertaken "to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping" while in the jurisdiction of the United States. Terrorism is also included in the definition of racketeering. Terms relating to cyber-terrorism are also redefined, including the term "protected computer," "damage," "conviction," "person," and "loss." [emphasis mine]

Okay kids. This goes beyond not playing nice in the sandbox. Seriously.
Iran claimed today that they now have the capability to complete the entire nuclear process, from mining the uranium to flipping the switch. I don't doubt they have this capability, and I don't doubt for one heartbeat that Ahmadinejad would wipe Israel off the map. Well, TRY to anyway, because we all know that God will rebuild his people no matter what.
Then there's North and South Korea. One false move there, and someone with an itchy trigger finger starts World War III.
I'm just sayin'. Do we really need creeps like Julian Assange hacking his way into secret military documents that effect thousands of missions and lives of soldiers all around the world?
I know he's not an American, but if he ever gets to American soil for prosecution, rest assured he will NOT cause problems again.

Julian ASSange
The only appropriate thing about this man is his last name. The first three letters of his last name, specifically.
I'm all about freedom. Anyone who has read anything on this blog, or knows me personally knows I'm all about freedom. I think the government has way too much control of our every day lives, and that people should have the right to use their common sense to live their lives.
The only problem I have with personal freedom is when one person's act endangers many other lives. If someone wants to spout hateful words about another race or religion, they can, I suppose. They are only words. The person spewing hate only looks ignorant anyway.
But when one MAN (and I use this term loosely) like Julian Assange leaks CRITICAL military information on an international website, just for kicks...THAT, my friends, should be classified as terrorism.
Julian Assange is a terrorist just as much as Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden, and all the men involved in all the attacks on the United States on 9/11. This pompous, self-centered egotist published information that could get thousands of people killed, and destroy the infrastructures of more than one country, including the U.S.

Assange's lawyer, Mark Stephens threatened Swedish and U.S. authorities. He "said this weekend that his client was prepared to retaliate if charged. He said Assange might release the secret code - with a 256-bit encryption key- of a massive file quietly distributed this summer that contains thousands of unredacted documents." Talk about spy games. In my opinion, this guy should be put in the deepest, darkest hole in nastiest, coldest prison on the planet, and left alone for the rest of his pathetic, wanna-be life. Men like this are like those who suffer from short-man syndrome. He probably has some deep childhood secret or fear that makes him feel inadequate, so he must come up with a way to get attention.
But this is far more dangerous than the run-of-the-mill schoolyard bully: Most bullies don't end up with the death of thousands of innocent lives on their hands. So let it be clear, Mr. Julian Assange, that you are a pawn of satan himself. I hope you rot away somewhere where no one has ever heard of you. I hope that you become a victim of the consequences of your own stupid, selfish actions. And I hope other people learn a lesson from this.
Our military works 24/7 all year 'round, every day, all day, to keep us safe. They don't get a break. They don't take vacation. Someone is constantly on guard. Because if they were not, we would be in a world of hurt.
I encourage you to support our military and leaders and they pursue getting their hands on Assange to try him for crimes against the U.S. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
I'm all about freedom. Anyone who has read anything on this blog, or knows me personally knows I'm all about freedom. I think the government has way too much control of our every day lives, and that people should have the right to use their common sense to live their lives.
The only problem I have with personal freedom is when one person's act endangers many other lives. If someone wants to spout hateful words about another race or religion, they can, I suppose. They are only words. The person spewing hate only looks ignorant anyway.
But when one MAN (and I use this term loosely) like Julian Assange leaks CRITICAL military information on an international website, just for kicks...THAT, my friends, should be classified as terrorism.
Julian Assange is a terrorist just as much as Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden, and all the men involved in all the attacks on the United States on 9/11. This pompous, self-centered egotist published information that could get thousands of people killed, and destroy the infrastructures of more than one country, including the U.S.

Anchor Babies and the 14th Amendment
I received an e-mail from a friend this morning regarding "anchor babies." Anchor babies are children born in the U.S. to illegal immigrants, who have U.S. citizenship upon their birth. PRO-immigration groups claim that this is a natural interpretation of the 14th amendment to the U.S. Constitution which among other things states:
"Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. "
Citizenship is usually determined by either jus soli (right of the soil) or jus sanguinis (right of the blood). The United States is one of the countires that operates under jus soli, according to the 14th amendment. This means that all that is required of someone to achieve U.S. citizenship is to be born here. Under jus sanguinis, you must have at least one parent already a U.S. citizen to be considered a citizen at birth.
If you do a little checking, you will find out that the 14th amendment was intended to protect African slaves who were brought over to the U.S. on ships. It was more of an anti-discrimination law than an immigration law!
I completely agree with Arizona, and now Texas. I hope and pray more states take a harder stance on immigration issues. Once an illegal is here, OUR government pays for their food, medicine, education, incarceration and much, much more. The cost of all of this is staggering. Maybe until the U.S. figures out our OWN issues we should simply close the borders altogether.
According to the U.S. Census, the number of foreign-born, 0-4 year olds estimated in 2003 was 33,751,944. Those from European nations numbered 4, 861,934. That number was almost doubled by Asian born children at 9, 238,656. Latin American foreign born children 0-4 years in 2003 totalled nearly HALF of all children counted. Almost 20 million of those 33,751,944 born were illegal.
That's a LOT of anchor babies. They are called anchor babies because they act like anchors to their families who would be the boat. Once they get dug into U.S. soil, they aren't going anywhere. And why should they? They get jobs and medicine at the expense of real U.S. citizens, and their children get educated here. We even incarcerate their criminals instead of deporting them.
Just food for thought. Think about his issue...and contact your governement representative to them know that the 14th amendment needs to be modified to state that it does NOT include illegal immigrant children born in the United States.

Government Control Vs. Common Sense
Apparently there are people who need the governement to help them figure out how much cold medication to give their child.
"Now the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) is weighing in, with a new study published online today of 200 of the top-selling cough/cold, allergy, analgesic and gastrointestinal over-the-counter liquid medications for children that finds disturbing levels of inconsistency in medication labeling and measuring devices." Inconsistency in medication labeling and measuring devices. Well, a teaspoon is pretty much a teaspoon no matter how they label it, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Oh, yes, it may have ml's on it also. That would stand for milliliters, folks, and 5 equal one teaspoon.

You can't buy a pack of cigarettes until you are 18.
You can't purchase alcohol until you are 21.
You must have a license to get married.
But anyone can have a child. That's probably a whole different post, but it just AMAZES me that parents depend so much on labels and measuring cups that they need the flippin' FDA to get involved! Figure it out, people, it's not rocket science.
I mean seriously! If you can't figure out how to give your kid a teaspoon of medication without a little cup that only has a line for one teaspoon on it, maybe you shouldn't be in charge of a child's entire life. And I suck at math, so you can't use that for an excuse either.
Teaspoon is abbreviated tsp. This is NOT the same as Tablespoon, abbreviated Tbsp. Adult measuring cups for Nyquil and such don't HAVE teaspoon measurements, because the dosage is listed only in tablespoons.
I don't know, maybe I'm being too harsh. It just seems like there is so much more the government could and SHOULD be concerned about than things that should be common sense.

Sue a Good Samaritan?
So I just read this article in the Reader's Digest about a woman (we'll call her Ann) pulling her friend out of a smoking car after an accident. The woman IN the car (we'll call her Barb) said that she could feel her legs before she was pulled out, but NOT after. She became paralyzed from the waist down. Barb sued Ann who pulled her out of the car.
There is a "Good Samaritan" law that protects EMT's and such from being sued if/when they are working on a patient in good faith, and the patient doesn't make it. So when Ann pulled Barb out of the car, Ann's lawyer explained, she was covered by this Good Samaritan law. He asked for charges to be dismissed and they were.
Barb's lawyer appealed, and Barb was given a sizable settlement.
So the question is, was what Ann did negligible? The part that they didn't mention in the article is the alcohol level of both women. They had been at a bar with friends, and neither Ann nor Barb was driving.
According to the others in both vehicles, Ann was the only one who saw smoke. And "everyone" knows not to move someone with a possible head or neck injury.
First of all, I would argue whether or not "everyone" knows not to move someone with a head or neck injury, never mind that all parties were full of adrenaline and most probably alcohol.
Secondly, I would need to know if the women had been drinking to the point of impairment. If Ann had been drunk, I would say she was negligible, and should be held accountable. If she was NOT, however, I think she should have been exonerated of all charges because she was obviously concerned about her friend being pinned in a burning car.
What would you do? Do situations like this make you think twice about helping someone? If there was a nationwide law that protected "Good Samaritans" from any possibility of lawsuits, would you be more apt to help?
I find this topic both interesting and upsetting. Our country is RIDICULOUSLY litigious. Spill piping hot coffee on your lap because you're clumsy? Sue McDonalds. Get cancer from smoking cigarettes? Sue Philip Morris. Get shot breaking into someone's home to rob them? Sue the homeowner, or the gun company.
My husband saw a bumper sticker that said: "Guns kill people like spoons make you fat." I laughed so hard I about peed my pants. But seriously!
My personal opinion is that you should help anyone you can, and trust that God will protect you from any bogus consequences. What a horrible place it would be to live where no one would help another for fear of prosecution. Shameful.

Sarah Palin
Ya know what? I LIKE Sarah Palin. I LIKE her daughter Bristol. Can she dance as well as some of the other people? No. Is she more likable? Obviously. I can't believe that the media is beating her up the way they are over a DANCE show for crying out loud. She didn't ask to be put up (in the elmination show) against Brandi (who, yes, she could do some dancin', but I never felt connected to her. Too much drama.). The executive producer decides who goes up against whom. They could have put Jennifer and Brandi against each other. Anyway...I digress. It just ticks me off.
I also like her new show, Sarah Palin's Alaska. Alaska is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. If it wasn't for the thousands-of-miles-from-nowhere-dark-24-hours-a-day-most-of-the-year thing, I'd move there. I doubt I'd ever be too hot!
One thing I like about Sarah Palin is that while she is obviously a power player, she is also a Christian. She has a wonderful relationship with her husband, and she defers to him as the head of her household. She loves her family and defends them.
Another thing I love about her is that she speaks her mind. Woman after my own heart on that one. Not afraid to call a duck a duck. Is she eloquent? Not inasmuch as other orators of our time. But she gets the point across, she isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in, and she doesn't back down. She's as at home in a kayak in Alaska, or skeet shooting, as she is in a TV studio or taking care of her youngest baby with Downs Syndrome.
I think she takes such a beating BECAUSE she is a strong woman...on the RIGHT. If she were a liberal, the media would LOVE her instead of crucify her. Some person (I have 100 other things I'd like to call him) actually moved in NEXT door to the Palin's in Alaska to get dirt to write a book about her.
Todd Palin built a 14 foot fence between the two homes. I love it! This guy just sits outside (in ALASKA mind you) reading the newspaper trying to be all nonchalant. Jackwagon.
So I say carry on, Mrs. Palin. Kick some butt, take some names, and NEVER back down.

Obama has strong Muslim ties. My personal belief is that he IS Muslim. Muslims MUST adhere strictly to the Qu'ran. The Qu'ran makes it very clear that anyone who is not Muslim must be converted or killed, especially Jews and Christians. {waddle}
Obama clearly supports a Palestinian state, thereby being in DIRECT disobedience to God, Whose chosen people are Israel. Ergo, you could reasonably argue that Obama supports terrorism, or at the VERY least, genocide. {quack}
I was so stunned to read this article; to be frank, it was the age of the offender! The would-be attacker is 50 years old! This isn't some 20 year old hot-head wanna-be trying to join a gang. This is a 50 year old man! Probably established in life, maybe successful, married, with children... Yet is was SO important to him that his friends believe he was a "good Arab" (a good Muslim), that he was willing to KILL a woman.
Keep praying. For our President. For our country. For Israel. It is imperative we are on the Right side of this battle. It will have eternal consequences.

A Felon In Office? Getting A Good Neighbor Award?
All right folks. I need your input on this one.
On our ballot a few weeks ago, we had to vote yes or no as to whether or not it should be possible for a convicted felon to hold government office. I can't remember if it was for my county or state. Regardless: should this not be a no-brainer?? A convicted felon in government office? I mean, I feel like most politicians are crooks anyway, but to be convicted, by a jury of your peers, and be still able to run for office? No freakin' way.
The next one gives me a TINY hesitation because...well...here's the thing. A guy was given a Good Neighbor Award in Albion, Michigan. He's a high school band director. He's also a convicted sex offender. In 1999, a 10 year old girl accused him of touching her inappropriately. Although this guy pleaded no contest, he went to jail, and felt the need to defend himself. Ken Fourn says, “If I had any inkling that it would disturb people that I received an award for helping out with the community band I never would have accepted it.” (wwmt.com)
Really? Or would you never have accepted it if you knew your ugly past would erupt? The Chamber of Commerce in Albion,who gave him this award, stand behind Mr. Fourn as a married man of 30 years who has done great things for the community.
"'One of my students took offense to a maneuver that I use to teach breathing,” said Fourn. Fourn says that student was a ten-year-old girl. “In hindsight the young lady probably was offended by the way I touched her,” said Fourn. “I had no idea that it would cause such a firestorm.'" (wwmt.com)
M'kay. I played in band. Ain't NO breathing technique for ANY instrument that requires a 50+ man touching a 10 year old girl in ANY way, shape, form or fashion.
Albion stands behind its decision and will not retract the award, however, they will "in the future will do more research before handing out awards." (wwmt.com)
So what do you think? Should it be a carte blanche NO WAY? Should it depend on the when the offense happened and the degree to which it happened?
As a Christian, I believe that God can help ANY one conquer ANY thing. And that includes sexual perversion. I believe in forgiveness. However, almost every research study you check says that sex offenders have the highest recidivism rate among all criminals. It's not impossible to be "cured" but it would seriously take the Divine Hand of God to remove it.
So as a safety precaution, I guess I would err on the side of caution. Fair or not, my concern would be for any children involved in any way. If it came down to black and white yes or no (should registered, convicted sex offenders to eligible for community or state awards?) I would have to say no. What about you?

Washington, Lincoln, and OBAMA???
Okay. I know this is silly. I know people are probably shaking their heads at my indignance at such a goofy thing. It's only a Chia Pet.
But I'm sorry. There are three Presidents made into Chia Pets, and they are Washington, Lincoln and Obama??? How they can even mention those three men in the same sentence is beyond my realm of comprehension.
George Washington: fearless leader. Considered the Father of America. Unanimously chosen as both Commander-in-Chief of the Army as well as President of the United States. King George III of England remarked he was "the greatest character of the age." (libertykids.com)
Abraham Lincoln: considered by some to be the best president of all. Ended slavery. Was known as "Honest Abe." Said, "With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation's wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow and his orphan - to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations."
Barak Obama: Supports Iran over Israel. Supports illegal immigrants over Americans. Bowed to the king of Saudi Arabia. Considered worst president of all time by many, even worse than Jimmy Carter. Supports Islam over Christianity. In just 2 years of his presidency, unemployment went up 2.1 percent. The national debt went from $10 trillion to $12 trillion.
Obama has: "allowed the Russians to sponsor an uprising in Kyrgyzstan that resulted in the removal of a U.S. airbase. He has lent legitimacy to an Islamist Turkish government and sold American debt to a communist Chinese government that supports North Korea." (www.townhall.com)
Now I know it may just be a Chia Pet. I know Chia Pets have been made fun of and are notorious white elephant gifts. But even the mere mention of Obama in the same breath as two of the greatest men of all time...well I just couldn't handle that.
The only thing an Obama Chia Pet would be good for is target practice.

Celebrating?
One thing I am for sure ridiculously happy about it the exit of Nancy Polosi. Oh, that woman. She got on every nerve I had. I'm not sure if she ever had one of her own ideas come out of her brain. I think she was primed well. She was also egregiously annoying.
So last night the Rebuplicans took control back of the house. The Dems held on to the Senate, but barely. Michigan got a new Republican Governor, Attorney General and Secretary of State.
I'm not really a Republican anymore, but it is certainly the lesser of two evils. You'll never meet a former Republican Socialist...(well not without a lobotomy anyway); ergo, the lesser of two evils.
I'm THRILLED that the Tea Part movement took 3 elections last night. I would probably lean closer to the Libertarian side of the parties, but I didn't feel like they had enough momentum to carry Michigan, and I certainly didn't want the Democrats to win!
I'm not sure what will be accomplished for this House and Senate under THIS President, but I know Obama will no longer be able to have "his way" as he has in the in the last 2 years. He's the kind of person who makes you think is somethings are very good ideas, and then you end up crippled.
I know I put this on facebook already but I just can't help it: To Ms. Pelosi: Na-na-na- na, Na-na-na-na, Hey Hey Hey, GOOD BYE!!!!!

VOTE!!!
Okay people. Make SURE you go out and vote tomorrow!! We have the power to change up a LOT of things in the Senate and the House. I'm not much more of a fan of Republicans than I am Democrats right now, but at least with a Republican controlled House and/or Senate, Obama cannot keep running amok in America!

PLEASE do not go into this election uninformed. It is a chance for REAL CHANGE in America. It's a pretty sure bet that Obama will NOT will reelection, if the approval rate means anything. The danger is in what damage he can do between now and then. Two years down, two to go. And in my opinion, he's made enough messes already!
So please. Vote. It is not only a wonderful right and privilege, fought and bled and died for; it is a duty. Especially if you are a Christian. You have an obligation to God and country to participate in the freedom that separates America from many, many other countries. Don't take your rights for granted! Exercise them!

What Nuclear Iran Would Mean
I've already said once that I think the Irani leader is the devil. I don't normally do very well on first impressions...I don't have a discerning spirit, you might say. Some people who seem really nice to me turn out to be jerks, and vice versa. However, this guy is so evil even I can tell!
It's not a big secret that Iran is trying to go nuclear. For energy, of course. Mmmm-Hmmm. It is my belief that they will try to attack Israel. This battle has been going on since Isaac and Ishmael. And it's only going to end with the new heaven and new earth, with Jesus coming down. Whhooo-weee! Can't WAIT for that.
I think we can surmise Iran's intentions from previous statements against its enemies.
"In February 2009, a professor named Abdallah Nafisi gave a lecture in Kuwait and discussed how tunnels that are used by smugglers under the Mexican-American border could be used in a potential terror attack. 'Four pounds of anthrax...carried by a fighter through tunnels in Mexico into the US is guaranteed to kill 330,000 Americans....There is no need for airplanes, conspiracies....Just one person with the courage to carry four pounds of anthrax will go to the White House lawn and will spread this confetti all over....it will turn into a real celebration.'"

As terrifying as Iran possessing "the bomb" is the thought of them passing it on to a crazy group of radical Islam, who could send it to any number of places in the US and blow part of our country off the map.
I'm really not trying to be a conspiracy theorist or freak anyone out, but this is happening!
We can no longer bury our heads in the sand and pretend that we aren't effected by what happens thousands of miles away. Make no mistake: we are effected very much by what happens in the Middle East. Not only for today, but also in the future.
God will side with Israel.
God will side against anyone who sides against Israel.

What's the Harm?
Have you ever noticed that you never seem to "all of the sudden" get in trouble? For example, financially. Typically, you spend a little here, a little there, and after time, you have way too much stuff, and not enough money.
Or with weight. You don't wake up 50 pounds heavier, you gain it one pound at a time. And you may not even notice.
This, my friends, is how I honestly feel about the rise of Islam.
So they want to build a mosque at Ground Zero. What's one more?
So a full 20% of male babies in England were named Mohammed (or various spellings thereof, making it the most popular boy's name in England and Wales, replacing "Jack" which has held the title or 14 years previously.) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/ So what's in a name?
According to a study by the ISA (Israel's Security Agency), Hamas (known as the Islamic Resistance Movement, is a self-described Palestinian national liberation movement, with a socio-political wing and a military wing; wikipedia.com) is gradually stretching out its tentacles into the Gaza strip for what is known as "Islamization" or the complete take over of Islam in an area. (israelnationalnews.com) They have done things like encourage dialogue on internet sites about Islam and Mohammed, and utilize newspapers for columns that people supposedly write in to with questions (so they can preach their belief system "gently.") Doesn't everyone have web pages and forums for their belief system?
Hamas has also "recommended that UNRWA [United Nations Relief and Work Agency] examine the curriculum taught in its schools and adapt it to Arab society, as well as reconsider the hiring of female teachers to work in boys’ schools." - israelnationalnews.com via Prophesy News Watch Aren't they allowed to use what curriculum they want, and mandate that only male teachers teach boys?
There are two problems with all of this. First of all, the Gaza Strip belongs to ISRAEL. Islam is trying to infiltrate God's people. Secondly, they are using seemingly harmless, maybe even superficially beneficial programs and ideas to promote their beliefs.
We MUST be aware of what's going on not only in our country, but also around the world. God has a time table and the days on the kingdom calendar have only so many pages. And when time's up, time's up. Which side will you be on?

Another Sign of the Times??
Or as I would say, reason number #432 to homeschool.
You know how you can "chip" your pets...(put a microchip in them so if they get lost they will get returned) well, some school systems are chipping their CHILDREN! I kid you not. I was certainly shocked to hear this.
Veronica Vijil, who is the principal of a middle school in Spring, Texas, supports putting a microchip in student ID badges. "It's a wonderful asset," she says. Schools are using these microchips for "count" day, when the federal government decides how much money a school will get according to how many students they have. These badges will also be used to track students and find out their whereabouts if they are not in class, or absent from school.
Whatever happened to a note from mom?
Now this is a statement that may never, ever come out of my mouth again: I actually agree with the ACLU on this one. What about hackers? What about identity theft? What about child predators? Do these people think these ID badges can't get hacked? The government has people who work for them trying to hack into their security to keep it strong. You don't think there are ANY other hackers out there with abilities like that? I guarantee there are.

Is anyone else concerned with this trend? Will we soon ALL have to have some kind of chip? Some bar code so we can get jobs? Food? Shelter? Medical help? I am NOT a paranoid person. I have heard people flip out about privacy on the web, privacy here or there. Basically, if you have a cell phone, and Internet account from anything, a credit card, bank account, or any combination of the above, you don't have any privacy. The government can already find out whatever they want to find out about. But this is just different. This is infringement on our rights as plain as can be.
The thing that scares me is all the other psychos out there that can hack in these radio frequency remote readers. So just something to keep your eyes on folks. Big Brother is definitely watching, and now he wants to start tracking! I won't even chip my dog. It's just not normal. That's what the little bone-shaped tags are for.
Here's an idea. If the government is so adamant about spending OUR money, why not chip sex offenders and terrorists and repeat criminals? Wouldn't it make more sense to know where THESE people are? And don't talk to me about their rights. A man who comes into this country with the sole intent of murdering our citizens...he doesn't have any rights. That's a load of crap. Technology is out there folks. Why don't we make it as advantageous as possible?
Even though I do know my four year old can pack quite a wallop...I'm sure I can handle it for a few more years.

The Gog/Magog War Part Two
The Bible gives us reasons as to why Israel would be invaded in the end times. Continuing to study Ezekiel 38, we see that the first reason for the invasion is a desire by the group of countries against Israel (Islam) is to wipe the Jews off the face of the earth. Hmmm...I seem to recall another group who tried to do that. Oh, yes. The Nazi's. So in this respect, is it fair to say that Islam and Hitler have much in common? I vote yes. Since Islam is Muslim, and the President is Muslim ,could we then compare the President to Hitler in an objective way? Again, I say yes. (Hitler gave good speeches too.)

The Qu'ran is full of references to plundering and pilfering for the good of Islam. Sheba and Dedan are ancient names for modern Saudi Arabia. Tarshish is thought to refer to Spain, and "all her villages" may refer to Western Europe. These countries may offer protest in support of Israel, but we already know what happens.

This, along with Teheran's ties with Syria and Gaza, the infrastructure it is building in Iraq...is all bringing home to many the reality of Iran's drive for regional dominance."
Iran will be the ringleader, I believe. All of Islam will follow, the final Jihad will take place, and the God of Heaven and Earth will show Himself. The book of Ezekiel repeats at least 60 times that the reason for all of this is so that "they will know that I am Lord."

The Second Amendment
There is a young man we'll call Jason in a Michigan prison at this very moment because the government failed to recognize the Constitution; specifically the second amendment.
The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States says:
"A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed. "
Oh the drama this amendment has caused.
Jason was at home caring for his children. All of the sudden, a man started banging on the INNER door of their mudroom. That means the man had already crossed the threshold of the house.
Jason's daughter was on the other side of the door, terrified, and ran to get her daddy. She told him she thought someone was breaking into the house.
1. The civilian militia interpretation, which holds that the Second Amendment is no longer valid, having been intended to protect a militia system that is no longer in place.
2. The individual rights interpretation, which holds that the individual right to bear arms is a basic right on the same order as the right to free speech.
3. The median interpretation, which holds that the Second Amendment does protect an individual right to bear arms but is restricted by the militia language in some way. (Tom Head About.com)
I personally agree with the second interpretation. The word "militia"has 2 meanings. One is civilians trained as soldiers but not part of the regular army. The second meaning refers to the entire body of physically fit civilians eligable by law for military service. (But not already in the armed forces. No where in the second amendment does it say that civilians may only bear arms during war. This is ridiculous. Thankfully, the NRA is now getting involved and helping to fund Jason's defense. But even if he got out tomorrow, no one can give back the time that has been taken away from him and his young family. He missed the birth of his child, for crying out loud!
The government's controlling grip is getting tighter and tighter. Make no mistake: Obama has a Socialist/Communist agenda, and this is just one tiny example of how it's effecting "Joe Smith" on Main Street USA. And it's only going to get worse.

Jason grabbed his legally registered handgun, and went to the mudroom door to see what was up. He told the man to get off his property or he'd put "two between his eyes." The man then identified himself as a Rent-A-Center employee (who was not wearing ANY type of uniform) coming for a late payment. Jason apologized, set the gun down immediately. The gun was loaded, but had never been cocked for use.
After the misunderstanding, Mr. Rent-A-Center and Jason had a "cordial conversation" and wrapped things up. In statements given by BOTH parties, these facts are all agreed upon. Yet the Rent-A-Center dude filed a complaint, and now Jason is in prison. He has been there since May of 2009.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? This man was WELL within his second amendment rights, and did everything correctly. He owned the gun legally. It was registered. He was protecting his home, property and children. He told the man to leave his property. It's not like the kid walked up to the door shooting. His wife went into premature labor, and their 3rd child was born 8 weeks early, all while Daddy is in jail.
That family may as well have wiped their butts with the Constitution for all the good it did them.

Enough Already!
This isn't part two of the Gog/Magog post, obviously...still working on that. But in my news articles this morning I was accosted with hate crime laws and repealing them, or not repealing them, etc. I am so tired of this!
Basically what hate crime laws do is add at least 5 years on a sentence of a crime committed against someone based on race or gender. Do I think it's okay to commit a crime against someone based on their race, or the fact that they are homosexual? OF COURSE NOT. I don't think it's okay to commit a crime against ANYONE. That's the point.
In the New King James Version of the Bible, Exodus 23:7 it says, "Keep yourself far from a false matter; do not kill the innocent and righteous. For I will not justify the wicked."
"You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’" Mark 10:19 NKJV
On October 28, 2009, President Obama "makes it a federal crime to attack someone because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The Michigan-based Thomas More Law Center says it elevates people engaged in deviant sexual behaviors to a special, protected class of persons under federal law." (www.cnsnews.com)
Leviticus 18:22 (New Living Translation) “Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin."
1 Corinthians 6:8-10 (New Living Translation) "Instead, you yourselves are the ones who do wrong and cheat even your fellow believers. Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God."
Note that the Bible makes no differentiation between homosexuality, sexual sin, prostitution, thieves, drunks, abusive people...and if IT doesn't, our law shouldn't! The church is the one who prioritizes sin. This sin is worse than that one...Well, sin is sin is sin to God.
Oh, but we must have TOLERANCE. Well, the road to hell is paved with tolerance. That's the problem with this country. Everyone wants everyone else to tolerate everything. Well, I say NO! I will NOT tolerate the law changing so homosexuals can get married. No I will NOT support affirmative action, because the most QUALIFIED person should get the job, whether he or she be a he or a she, white, red, yellow, black, whatever! I will NOT support the law for "hate crimes" because ALL crime is horrible. I could find a reason behind any crime to make it a hate crime: the victim was a woman. A white man. A black man. A gay woman. A straight woman. A Jew. A Christian. A Mormon. A Jehovah's Witness. A man with blue eyes. A woman with green eyes.
I can hear some people now: but that's NOT the same thing. OH, but it IS! Can't you see that?
Recently there were 3 men tortured in the Bronx. Before I go any further: what these men suffered is unspeakable. The men who beat them and tortured them should go to prison forever. They should be charged with assault, kidnapping, rape, torture, and whatever else criminals can be charged with. But they should be charged like that because the men they hurt were INNOCENT, not GAY.
Christians all over the world are persecuted solely for their beliefs. IN THIS COUNTRY Christians are assaulted and discriminated against just because they are Christians. And if they are attacked? Whoever hurt them should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Because the victim was just that, a VICTIM, not because he was a Christian.
What hate crimes do is turn thoughts into crime. Last time I checked, the Constitution still protected my right to free speech, and my gosh, free thought! Now the government is going to tell me what I can think? Whether what I BELIEVE is right or wrong? Not while I have control of my faculties, that's for sure.
Please stand up for what you believe. Get into the WORD. Find out what GOD thinks about a situation. I can't believe something that God's Word tells me is not true. I cannot NOT believe something IN the Word of God because man tells me it's NOT true.
I realize that I may not have the most popular opinion. But the "opposition" has many, many voices. I'm not sure I can be heard over the din, but I have to try. I can't let MY GOD go undefended. (Even though He can stand up for Himself!) I will not stay silent while people malign the Word of God.

Fulfillment of Prophesy Part One: Gog/Magog
I'm pretty new at this prophesy stuff, and pretty new at what it means in current times. I have been praying, however, that God will let me know what I should write about, and how to write about it. Today's topic should be a warning to everyone...get your lives together.
In Ezekiel 36-39 we read about the future of the nation of Israel. We read about the Jews that have been scattered all around the world, and how they are going to be reunited back in the land of Israel. Then we read about the invasion of Israel.
This prophecy is about 2600 years old, and it wasn't until the mid 20th century (May 14, 1948) that there was even an Israel to which the Jews could return. So, Jews from all over the world were able to go back to their Biblical homeland, starting in 1948 when Israel was officially a nation once again. So that's prophesy fulfilled, no question.
Then comes the war of Gog and Magog, which is both scintillating and shocking. Scintillating because this is truly the inspired Word of God coming true right before our very eyes! Shocking because it's not going to be pretty.
In Ezekiel 38 1-6 we read: The word of the LORD came to me: "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. 5 Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, 6 also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you." Just a side note here, Persia in verse 5 is modern day Iran.
"The Jewish historian Josephus said, "Magog founded the Magogians, called Scythians by the Greeks. Scythians were a nomadic tribe who inhabited the ancient territory from Central Asia across the southern part of ancient Russia." Today this area is inhabited by the former Soviet Republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and possibly northern parts of Afghanistan. All of these nations that make up the land of Magog have one thing in common - Islam. Militant Islam has been on the rise in these countries since the fall of the Soviet Union, when Islam no longer had to be practiced secretly. Radical Islamic groups such as the Islamic Renaissance Party, the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, and Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islam are working to reunite central Asian nations and ultimately the entire Muslim world. THEN, read this recent quote from the Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: "Grounds are being prepared for the Zionist regime [Israel] to go to hell soon and any country supporting his regime will join it on its trip to hell as well....The Zionists planned to destroy his community [Bint Jbail in Lebanon], but it stood strong against the occupiers...The entire world should know that the Zionists are destined to disappear from the world, while Bint Jbail will remain alive. And the sins of Bint Jbail will know how to defeat the Zionist enemy." (HAARETZ.com by DPA)
I don't know about you but that sounds like intent to me. Not even a threat, but an intention. Prophecy being fulfilled. God's Word coming to life right in front of our eyes. The world is not a beautiful place anymore. But it's going to get a whole lot worse. Don't take my word for it, take His.

Two Questions
Very simple post today. Some things I've been mulling over.
If America had stricter immigration policies, especially regarding VISA's...would 9/11 ever have happened? ALL 9 of the 9/11 terrorists were here on student VISA's, learned to fly IN THE USA, and killed thousands of Americans, with OUR help. Makes a person think.
Secondly, if Muslims are so peaceful, and condemn jihad (which they don't), why don't they speak out against it regarding the potential mosque at ground zero? Why do they insist that they have a right to build it there when such a heinous thing against America happened there. If they were so peaceful, wouldn't they understand our protests and acquiesce?
Just some things to think about.

Where "Tolerance" Will Lead Us
If I told you that free speech is in danger in America would you believe me? If I said that an independent politician speaking out against the danger of radical Islam could be jailed and fined, what would you think?
Hard to believe? It's already happened in Europe.
Geert Wilders, a native of Venlo, Netherlands, was raised Roman Catholic, but left that faith as a young adult after traveling to Israel and neighboring Arab countries. He now associates himself with Judeo-Christianity. He was a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) until 2004.
In 2004 he left the VVD and started his own party called the Party for Freedom (PVV). The change was primarily related to differing views on the addition of Turkey to the European Union (he was against it). He ran on a platform of supporting things like stopping any further immigration from Muslim countries to the Netherlands, halting the building of any new mosques, and the banning of the Qu'ran from his country.
Mr. Wilders spoke out against Islam radicals and jihad, comparing the Qu'ran to "Mein Kampf." It seems extreme, but he is trying to protect his country from Islamification, and I would support him, were I to live in the Netherlands. His party has been compared to today's Tea Party in America.
As his party grew in strength, obtaining 24 of the 150 seats in the Dutch Parliament as of June of this year, the other parliamentarians supporting "tolerance" and multiculturalism became intimidated. So in the fall of 2009, they modified "Article 137C of the penal code [which] now states that anyone '"who publicly, verbally or in writing or image, deliberately expresses himself in anyway insulting of a group of people because of their race, their religion or belief . . . will be punished with a prison sentence of at the most one year or a fine of third category." It continues: "If the offense is committed by a person who makes it his profession or habit, or by two or more people in association, a prison sentence of at the most two years or a fine of fourth category will be imposed.'" Basically, they prohibited free speech! Did you get that? Anyone who publicly expresses himself in any way insulting any group of people. Are you kidding me?? What if I'm insulted because my Christianity is deliberately attacked on a daily basis? Can I prosecute someone? Sounds ridiculous, but that's exactly what happened. Geert Wilders was prosecuted for inciting violence by merely expressing his political opinion.
Before the Parliament, Mr. Wilders expressed his opinion: "Islam is the Trojan Horse in Europe. If we do not stop Islamification now, Eurabia and Netherabia will just be a matter of time. One century ago, there were approximately 50 Muslims in the Netherlands. Today, there are about 1 million Muslims in this country." (http://online.wsj.com)
My friends, the same thing is happening in America. Politicians are so concerned about losing their plush lifestyles and offending the people who pad their pockets that they are protecting the WRONG people. American politicians should be protecting the America Constitution, the American People, and the American Way.
We do not need more tolerance in this country. We need more fundamental morality. We need the fear of God to be instilled in our country as it once was. Do not be lulled into a false sense of security because we have been free for as long as we have been United. Make no mistake: our basic rights are at risk AS WE SPEAK.
We are already well on our way....do not let what happened in the Netherlands happen here.

Illegal Immigration Part Two
As in my other post, let me say again I am NOT against immigration. LEGAL IMMIGRATION. Basically every person here is an immigrant of one form or another. What I have a problem with is doing it ILLEGALLY.

- Out of the 10,000 every day, about 3,500 will become PERMANENT residents.
- In one year, that equals 1,277,500 NEW PERMANENT immigrants living in the U.S. legally, or illegally.
- There are over 1900 miles of border between Mexico and the U.S.
- An estimated 1,880,000 American workers have lost jobs to illegal immigrants. {I should state my personal opinion here, that if Americans weren't so spoiled and DID the work immigrants do, and worked as hard as they do, maybe that wouldn't be so.}
- The cost of those 1,880,000 American workers to be supported by welfare and other governmental assistance equals $15 BILLION per year
- Illegal immigrants earn 60 BILLION a year working in the U.S.
- Half a BILLION dollars are spent incarcerating illegal immigrants. {This one burns my butt. We're spending 500 million dollars PER year to feed and house and provide health insurance for criminals who are illegally in the United States??? Can you say "deportation???"}
- It costs 7.4 BILLION each year to educate illegal immigrants.
- In 1994 (so you know the number is higher now) the state of California paid $215.2 million to pay for 74,987 deliveries to illegal immigrant mothers.
- Births to illegal immigrants counted as 36 percent of all Medicare funded births.
- Oh, and 80% of the cocaine and 50% of the heroin used in the United States is smuggled in from Mexico.
So the simple cost just from what I stated above, totals $82,471,152,000 PER YEAR. I do not have all the answers, but there certainly are MANY questions to be asked. To just give amnesty to all these people is a ridiculous idea. The borders need to be guarded MUCH more carefully. But then again, with over 1900 miles to patrol, it's a big job.
One thing is clear. This country will be ruined completely if we don't come up with something. We are already bankrupt. We are already overpopulated and have the highest unemployment rate on the planet. And more people keep coming in.
There will be one more part to this series as we explore options, potential problems, and discuss more issues regarding illegal immigrants in the United States.

Medicare Makes My Blood Boil
My previous pulmonologist and I had a very controversial, odd relationship. He insisted on seeing me every 3 months, which I always stretched to six months, because this is how it went every time:
Doc: So how are you doing?
Me: Pretty much the same.
Doc: {listening to my lungs} They sound okay.
Me: Mmm-Hmm.
Doc: So have you thought anymore about getting that BiPAP machine (machine that kind of breathes in AND out for you...CPAP is constant "in" pressure).
Me: I've told you that the only way that can happen is if I get the Shiley trach again. The Shiley is uncomfortable, painful, harder to change, harder to clean, makes me cough like crazy, requires more suction, and I will never get one again for the rest of my life if it's up to me.
Doc: Well, okay then. See ya in three months.
Every time it was the same. I'm like, if this isn't the biggest waste of time on the planet. But I had to keep going because he signed off on my oxygen. My oxygen supplier wasn't super huge on speedy billing, so once in a while when they started billing me again, they would call and tell me I needed a doc to sign off on my oxygen, so I'd go back to the pulmonologist.
Then for a while my neuro. was doing it, but now Medicare decided I needed to SEE a doctor, have an exam and a "requalification test" that I have to do every year. Medicare is SO GOVERNMENT. They tell you what to do, when to do it, how to do it, and if you don't, they will not pay and you will not get what you need.
Yet if I were on welfare, I would get food stamps and other monies to pay foralcohol, cigarettes, junk food, pop, shampoo and stuff, with no regulations. But heaven forbid you and your doctor try to manage your health in a positive, LEAST RESTRICTIVE way. I have to go to the diabetic doctor every 3 months now. I have to send Medicare 30 days worth of my blood sugars every 4-6 months or they won't cover my supplies. So now the GOVERNMENT is telling me whether or not I need diabetic supplies?
So I had to find a new pulmonologist, drive all the way to Kalamazoo, Doug had to take work off because I felt like crap, we had to take Jacob because everybody and their brother was sick and couldn't watch him...it was a total nightmare. Except for the actual doc....he's AWESOME.
My friends, do you see where this is going? And this is BEFORE the "government overhaul" of health care. It's only going to get worse. Chronically ill people and the elderly will suffer the most. I'm sure there will be a "cap" on what the government will pay in a lifetime...and I would have met it already, I'm sure. A million dollar hospital bill...yah.
Change is coming all right. And you are NOT going to like it.

Israel Prepares for Sukkot
I know I was in the middle of a series on immigration, but right now my heart keeps going back to Israel. I feel remiss that I have not cared in the past, that I didn't understand the importance of the Israeli people to God. They are still His chosen. They are STILL precious to Him. They are the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
All throughout the Old Testament God smites Israels's enemies. Until they turn away, as in the time of the judges. It seems as if Israel would just go down hill, start worshipping other gods, become deeper entrenched in sin than the time before, and God would send a judge to whip them into shape.
Judges 2:17-19 (NKJV) says, "Yet they would not listen to their judges, but they played the harlot with other gods, and bowed down to them. They turned quickly from the way in which their fathers walked, in obeying the commandments of the LORD; they did not do so. And when the LORD raised up judges for them, the LORD was with the judge and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the LORD was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who oppressed them and harassed them. And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they reverted and behaved more corruptly than their fathers, by following other gods, to serve them and bow down to them. They did not cease from their own doings nor from their stubborn way."
Ezekiel 36:17b-19, 22, 24-28 (NKJV)
“Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own ways and deeds; to Me their way was like the uncleanness of a woman in her customary impurity. Therefore I poured out My fury on them for the blood they had shed on the land, and for their idols with which they had defiled it. So I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed throughout the countries; I judged them according to their ways and their deeeds.... “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake.... For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God."
Pretty darn clear, eh? God scattered them, and God WILL bring them back together for HIS Holy Name. And what happens to the people who oppose Israel?
We find the answer in Ezekiel 38:18-23 (NKJV)“And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord GOD, “that My fury will show in My face. For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: ‘Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’ I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord GOD. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother. And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.”’
Right now the nation of Israel is preparing for Sukkot, which is also called The Feast of Booths or the Feast of Tabernacles. It is celebrated on the 15th day of the Jewish month of Tishrei (which would be like from late September to late October on our calendar...the 15th being a bit before the 15th of our month of October.)
Jews celebrate this seven day festival to remind themselves of the fragility in which their anscestors lived in the desert as they wandered it for 40 years. All their meals are eaten in the living area of the house, which becomes their "sukkah" (home) for those 7 days.
From israelinationalnews.com, Maayana Miskin reports that "Violent riots began several days ago, shortly before the Sukkot holiday. Rioters have primarily targeted policemen and Jews in the neighborhoods of Mei Shiloach (Silwan), A-Tor and Ir David. Several Jewish homes have been pelted with rocks and firebombs, and at least one home and one sukkah have been burnt. Eleven civilians have been wounded by rioters' violent attacks."
Israel is constantly under one kind of attack or another. They have been since the beginning of time.
I ask again that you pray for the nation of Israel, for they are God's chosen ones, and I believe it would please Him. Notice that is is not because of THEM or anything THEY do, but because God said by His Holy Name it would be so.
I would also ask that you remain in prayer for OUR country, as "we" in our government are not supporting Israel as we should be. Re-read Ezekiel 38:18-23. I do not think this is allegory. I think that God will rain down fire and brimstone. On us, and anyone else who has opposed His people.

WHAT?!?!?!
Okay. This is COMPLETELY off the beaten path as far as this blog has been going, but it is a PERFECT example of TOO MUCH government control, and the ludicrousness of government. I made up a new word: idiocracy. Not democracy or bureaucracy, but idiocracy. I think it fits nicely.
Here's the thing: according to a FOX news article, schools are moving to ban cupcakes (ya know, like what you bring to school for your kids birthday?) to help quell childhood obesity. YES, I am serious.
"No, Johnny! Put down that cupcake! It will make you obese! Don't be ridiculous, of course it has NOTHING to do with the 200 grams of fat you eat at McDonalds every day, or the 75 grams of fat in your "healthy" government-supplied lunch. How silly of you to think that it's because you eat garbage at home all day, sit on your duff playing video games and never get out to exercise that you are fat. It's not YOUR fault, it's those #!$%! birthday cupcakes!!"
I sit here shaking my head. Is there NOTHING more important the government, (or the schools for that matter!) can think of that might be a hair more important than birthday cupcakes?
Someone brought up the whole allergy thing, and I get that. Obviously the responsible thing to do is to KNOW your child and his class and make sure you know of any allergies beforehand. If THAT had been their argument I could at least UNDERSTAND what they're doing.
Anyone ever hear of parental responsibility? Why will no one take responsibility for their actions? My gosh, people, WAKE UP!!! Pretty soon the government will be telling us what to eat for breakfast and when and where to pee for crying out loud. This may seem like a ridiculous thing to be all riled up about, but it's just another thing that government wants its tentacles in.

Illegal Immigration--Part One
I want to start off by saying that I think seasonal workers (migrant workers) are some of the hardest working people in the world. They work hard and sometimes aren't treated very well.
And the fact of the matter is, if Americans would be willing to work that hard and do the jobs they do, our unemployment rate would be ZERO.
Specifically discussing Mexican immigrants (illegal immigrants), I get it. I understand you live in a craphole that I wouldn't want my dogs living in. I've seen where you live and where you come from and know that you want better for your children. I would too! And I have absolutely no problem with you trying to better yourselves. But do it the right way!
America is essentially made up of immigrants. My grandfather came over on the boat from the Netherlands, via Ellis Island. He waited in line. He learned the language. He was so proud to be coming to America, the land of opportunity. Opportunity for people who had good work ethic, who were willing to put in a hard day's work for a good day's pay.
If you would have told him that he could have come over during the night to sneak in, and go to US hospital to have a child (for free), that child would automatically be a citizen. Then, all your family would stay permanently living in the US, even though you would be undocumented; that you wouldn't even have to learn the language, and you could get their government to give you money to live on...well, it never would have happened. My grandmother's family wouldn't take a nickel from a stranger if that nickel was the only thing between them and utter starvation.
In 2008, 340,000 of the 4.3 million children born in the U.S. were born to illegal immigrants. However, according to the 14th Amendment, Section one, any child born in the U.S. is a United States citizen.
The first section of the Fourteenth Amendment reads as follows:
Section. 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
These children are often called anchor babies: since that child is a citizen, it of course can't live alone especially not without mom, and dad, and grandma and grandpa, and uncle and auntie and cousins. So one child is a citizen, while 20 other family members are not.

Government Healthcare...JUST SAY NO
On August 23, 2009, a Mississippi ER doctor wrote a letter to the editor of the Clarion Ledger. (Not to the White House as some have said.)
The actual letter can be found here but I will sum it up in this post with my reaction.
His letter was titled, "Why Care For The Careless?"
Basically, Dr. Roger Starner Jones describes taking care of a patient with a shiny gold tooth, elaborate tattoos, the newest cell phone on the market, and $400 tennis shoes. When he looked at the chart, he saw that the patient was on Medicaid. The doctor said, "During my examination of her, the patient informed me that she smokes more than one pack of cigarettes every day, eats only at fast-food take-outs, and somehow still has money to buy pretzels and beer." Dr. Starner Jones's point was that we don't really have a healthcare crisis, we have a culture crisis.
I was like, BRAVO, Doctor! This is my issue with Medicaid. It's not monitored! I'm on Medicare because I'm on disability, and my husband's insurance kicked me off their plan and forced me to pay for Medicare. It certainly wasn't my choice. Either way, you don't see me with gold teeth, expensive clothes, fancy hair, acrylic nails, or super expensive tennis shoes!
People who receive Medicaid do so because they are financially unable to even pay for Medicare which I can tell you is $96.00 a month. The patient above, even at one pack of smokes a day, is spending $140.00 a month just on CIGARETTES! Only eating at fast food places? Average $7.00 a meal (which is a conservative estimate), even only twice a day, that's $98.00 a week, or $392.00 a month!
Getting acrylic nails done is about $40.00 (at a cheap place). Getting them filled is about $20-25.00, and it needs to be done at least every 2 weeks, if not more. When I used to get my hair done (can't afford it now) it was easily $100.00 a time. I got it done every 6 weeks to maintain it. So given the figures above our patient has spending habits of $562.00, not including dental work, tattoos, tennis shoes, clothes, gasoline, bills, rent...see my point?
And Congress wants ME to pay for HER insurance? NO. Not only no but H#LL no. Are you kidding me??
Around here, a person has to make less than $800.00 a month to qualfy for Medicaid (free insurance from the government). This woman is spending more than that on crappy habits!
Assuming she's on Medicaid, she probably qualfies for welfare and food stamps. More money coming out of my pocket.
Now listen. I have NO PROBLEM helping people that need help. I DO have a HUGE problem when MY TAXES are paying for someone's cigarettes and tattoos! White, black, yellow, red, I do not care! Lazy has no color.
In the Bible, there is a wonderful example of how people who need help SHOULD be helped. From Ruth, chapter 2: "And Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, "Let me go to the fields and pick up the leftover grain behind anyone in whose eyes I find favor..." So she went out and began to glean in the fields behind the harvesters. As it turned out, she found herself working in a field belonging to Boaz, who was from the clan of Elimelech.... Boaz asked the foreman of his harvesters, "Whose young woman is that?" The foreman replied, "She is the Moabitess who came back from Moab with Naomi. She said, 'Please let me glean and gather among the sheaves behind the harvesters.' She went into the field and has worked steadily from morning till now, except for a short rest in the shelter...."
At mealtime Boaz said to her, "Come over here. Have some bread and dip it in the wine vinegar." When she sat down with the harvesters, he offered her some roasted grain. She ate all she wanted and had some left over. As she got up to glean, Boaz gave orders to his men, "Even if she gathers among the sheaves, don't embarrass her. Rather, pull out some stalks for her from the bundles and leave them for her to pick up, and don't rebuke her." So Ruth gleaned in the field until evening. Then she threshed the barley she had gathered, and it amounted to about an ephah. She carried it back to town, and her mother-in-law saw how much she had gathered. Ruth also brought out and gave her what she had left over after she had eaten enough.
Even though she had nothing (she an her mother in law Naomi were completely broke and on their own), she worked. She worked from sun up til sundown. And for her work she was taken care of.
Now I am not so simple minded as to think that all you have to do when you are down on your luck is to find a farmer. The point is, Ruth didn't just sit around and wait for someone to take care of her. She sought a solution. She WORKED at what she could. She earned her food. She earned her good reputation.
We need to overhaul health care, alright, and GET RID of government healthcare. Give the power back to the doctors and patients! Let the patients CHOOSE their doctors. Limit or eliminate ridiculous malpractice lawsuits. Let the DOCTORS decide what to charge for their services, and tell the government to butt out.
I don't know about you, but I'm tired of my tax money paying for anyone's acrylic nails and beer.

The Moral Decline of America Part Two
UPDATE: It has been brought to my attention that the first 2 paragraphs of this post may not be 100% historically accurate. For that I apologize. I resent ANY implication, however, that I intentionally mislead my readers, or purposefully chose to lie to further my cause. What good would that possibly do? For the record:
"On September 1, 1782, a committee that had been appointed to consider Aitken's petition asked the chaplains of the Congress of the Confederation, the Rev. Dr. {{William White (Bishop of Pennsylvania)William White]] of Christ Church and the Rev. George Duffield of the Third Presbyterian Church, to examine his Bible for accuracy. On September 12, based upon the report of the committee, the Congress of the Confederation approved "the pious and laudable undertaking of Mr. Aitken, as subservient to the interest of religion, as well as an instance of the progress of the arts in this country" and recommended his Bible to the American people." In 1782, the United States Congress voted this resolution: "The congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools." (Forsaken Roots)
Did you get that? American Revolution: 1776. Six years later, in the forming of a fledgling government, the Congress of these United States RECOMMENDED AND APPROVED the Holy Bible for use in ALL SCHOOLS.
Listen to these words of Mr.William Holmes McGuffey: "The Christian religion is the religion of our country. From it are derived our notions on character of God, on the great moral Governor of the universe. On its doctrines are founded the peculiarities of our free institutions. From no source has the author drawn more conspicuously than from the sacred Scriptures. From all these extracts from the Bible I make no apology." His text book called The McGuffey was used in public schools until 1963. (Forgotten Roots)
So what happened?
Many people believe that the first major "attack" on God was the removal of prayer in public schools in 1962. While this was the first huge, national ruling against God, a year previously the state of Maryland had the dubious distinction of being the first state ruled against by the Supreme Court, in regard to God and their state constitution.
In 1961, an atheist named Roy Torcaso ran for a public commission, but was denied because he wouldn't agree with the provision in the Maryland State Constitution which made “a declaration of belief in the existence of God” mandatory for holding public office. The Supreme Court basically overruled God and overtly promoted atheism. (some information taken from The Forerunner, Gary Bergel).
In 1962, prayer was banned from public school. A parent of one of the students disagreed with the principal reading a prayer in the morning and took it to court. All the way to the Supreme Court. So ONE parent, and NINE judges, made a decision that effected our nation in a devastating manner.
Other decisions to kick God out followed:
In 1963 -- ABINGTON SCHOOL DIST. v. SCHEMPP -- banned school-directed recital of the Lord's Prayer and reading of Bible passages as part of "devotional exercises" in public schools.
In 1965, the Courts ruled it unconstitutional for a child to pray aloud in the school cafeteria.
In 1980 -- STONE v. GRAHAM -- banned the posting of the the Ten Commandments on public school classroom walls.
In 1985 -- WALLACE v. JAFFREE -- banned observance of "daily moments of silence" from public schools when students were encouraged to pray during the silent periods.
In 1990 -- WESTSIDE COMMUNITY BD. OF ED. v. MERGENS -- held that schools must allow student prayer groups to organize and worship if other non-religious clubs are also permitted to meet on school property.
In 1992 -- LEE v. WEISMAN -- outlawed prayers led by members of the clergy at public school graduation ceremonies.
In 2000 -- SANTA FE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT v. DOE -- banned student-led pre-game prayers at public high school football games. (http://usgovinfo.about.com/library/weekly/aa070100a.htm)
I have heard MANY people say, "Well I'm just one person, what can I do? I vote, it doesn't matter." My answer? Madalyn Murray O'Hair. This ONE woman formed a group called the American Atheists, and single-handedly took prayer out of public school, saying it was a violation of the First Amendment and against separation of church and state. (Even though in the United States separation of church and state was originally intended to protect established state Christian churches from being replaced by a church chosen by the federal government.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Separation_of_church_and_state

I love this quote by Oswald Chambers. God's law is God's law. He will not be mocked. We will reap what we sow. And if we continue to allow individual people to take their cause more seriously than we as "the church" take ours, it will not be long before we start reaping!
I read an interesting article that reminded me of Ephesians 6:12: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."
My friends, please hear me clearly. We are not fighting against the Madalyn Murray O'Hairs and Obamas of the world: we are fighting against the principalities of darkness. Sound scary? Well, that's because it is!
But we do NOT need to be afraid, because in I John 4:1-6 we are told:
"Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You are of God... and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error."
Do you see? We fight against the ruler of this world, the devil. And to be frank, we are not doing a very good job. We need to get off the phone, turn off the TV, stop facebooking (and I'm preaching to the choir here as well!) and get on our knees for this country.
Please don't believe that bad things are just coincidences or people are just mean. There are forces at work that we can not see in the physically realm. And they are very, very real. And they mean business. Do you?
